Sounds good in theory. . .

Does anyone else think that letting your baby, with a horrendous diaper rash, crawl around without a diaper on plastic tablecloths is not such a good idea? In a period of time of about 30 minutes, she peed FIVE times. I'm tired of wiping up pee. I think her bottom is more wet than it would be WITH a diaper. I know urine is sterile, but this does not seem sanitary.

Am I missing something?

  1. What have you tried for the rash? Madeline used to get them really bad, desitin didn't really cut it, but the aquaphor/maalox mix worked pretty well - and it numbs their bum. I would get sick of cleaning up pee too. :S

  2. I never did that, although it does sound good in theory. What works MIRACLES for us is triple paste. I have seen it at my target, but it hasn't always been there. For sure at Rite Aid or other pharmacy type store. Good luck...cleaning up pee is no fun. Save that for potty training time! :)

  3. Trying letting her soak in the bath for awhile (no soap while soaking), then wash and get her nice and dry. Then cover the rash with a zinc oxide cream. Every time you change her diaper make sure the rash is covered with the cream. They usually clear up after a day or so. Fun stuff!

  4. Glad to hear your baby's bum is better! :) I know everyone has their favorite...my new favorite is Balmex it really cleared up Clint's diaper rash and keeps it from happening. Your little Bree is super cute!! I am so excited to get to see you guys in a few months! and meet that baby girl of yours! Miss you guys!!

  5. I let Lennon crawl around outside if that ever happened. But maybe it's cold there.
